Why This Award Matters

Receiving the award from Mr. Sanjav Agarwal, Chairman and CEO of Fairfest Media Ltd., was H.E. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda, Uganda’s High Commissioner to India.

This recognition isn’t just symbolic. It’s a powerful endorsement, positioning Uganda as a must-visit destination in one of the world’s fastest-growing travel markets.

But the story doesn’t end there. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Uganda’s presence at OTM achieved its strategic goal: positioning the country as a top alternative destination in Africa.

This milestone aligns with Uganda’s ambitious plan to grow its economy tenfold to USD 500 billion within the next 15 years.

Adding to the excitement, Uganda Airlines’ direct flights between Entebbe and Mumbai, launched in October 2023, are already fueling increased travel for tourism, trade, and investment.
