Uganda Baati Opens Kyengera Showroom to Serve Fast-Growing Wakiso

Uganda Baati showroom launch event in Kyengera with local leaders and residents

Uganda Baati, a household name in roofing and steel building materials, has officially opened its 17th showroom—this time in Kyengera, a booming commercial hub along the Kampala–Masaka Highway.

The new showroom is designed to serve the fast-growing Wakiso District and surrounding areas, including Buloba, Bulega, Mpigi, Nsangi, and Katende.

With a rising number of residential projects, hardware shops, and construction businesses in the region, this expansion is both timely and strategic.

A Boost for Local Builders and Entrepreneurs

“This new branch means convenience, affordability, and reliability for our builders,” said Ganagwa Expedito, LC1 Chairperson of Kyengera Town Council. “People no longer have to travel long distances to access quality materials. Uganda Baati is right here.”

Contractors, hardware dealers, and homeowners can now easily access Uganda Baati’s full product range, including Lifestile, Orientile, Romantile, Versatile, Covermax, and Resincot—renowned for their durability and aesthetic appeal.

The showroom is set to become a key support center for local hardware retailers, further strengthening Uganda Baati’s supply chain and market dominance.

Fighting Counterfeits and Improving Customer Experience

Patrick Katende, Head of Service Centers and Sales at Uganda Baati, emphasized the showroom’s role in tackling counterfeit products—a growing concern in Uganda’s construction sector.

“By opening in Kyengera, we bring genuine products and expert guidance closer to our customers. It’s about giving people value, safety, and peace of mind,” he noted.

Safety and Strategic Development

Local security officials also pledged their support. DPC Kandiiho Livingston of the Uganda Police Force assured continued collaboration to maintain a safe and secure business environment for both the community and investors.

Meanwhile, George Arodi, CEO of Uganda Baati, highlighted the broader vision: “This expansion aligns with our 60-year legacy of bringing premium building solutions closer to Ugandans. Kyengera’s growth and vibrant entrepreneurial spirit made it the ideal next step.”

Part of a Bigger CSR Vision

The Kyengera showroom also contributes to Uganda Baati’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework. The company’s CSR focus spans education, shelter, environment, and health—and this latest outlet will help channel resources and services to local communities more effectively.

Mrs. Nantege Betinah, LC5 Vice Chairperson of Wakiso District, urged residents to support and promote Uganda Baati’s presence.

“Kyengera and Wakiso are growing fast. Uganda Baati has given us the tools—now let’s use them and tell others,” she said.

With this new showroom, Uganda Baati reaffirms its commitment to innovation, accessibility, and community-driven growth. For builders in Wakiso and beyond, quality roofing is now just around the corner.
