UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance has celebrated its best-performing sales agents in spectacular fashion—rewarding hard work with cars, exotic trips, and more.
During a glittering 2025 Agency Awards ceremony held on March 29 at Kampala’s Mestil Hotel, the insurer pulled out all the stops to recognize agents whose relentless efforts boosted the company’s growth and service reach across Uganda.
The night’s biggest winner? Justine Namugosa. Crowned the overall top agent of 2024, Namugosa drove away in a brand-new Subaru and secured a trip to Cape Town as the leading performer in the seasoned agent category.
“These awards go beyond celebration—they’re our way of saying thank you,” said Patrick Kinoti Kimathi, Managing Director of UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance. “Every milestone we hit as a company starts with the determination of our agents.”
Kimathi praised the honorees for their passion and resilience, emphasizing that the company would continue to invest in their growth.
Agents across different performance categories walked away with premium household appliances, international travel packages, and public recognition.
In the premium items category, television sets and refrigerators were awarded to standout agents including Rashid Kizito, Hanifah Nakalema, Hadijah Nakanwagi, Ruth Tumwijukye, Mary Kyendibaza, and Robert Mutebi. High-performing managers like Faridah Nazziwa, Margaret Nakakande, and regional manager Edgar Katsigwa were also applauded.
The Cape Town trip wasn’t just for Namugosa. Team Manager Anthony Kaguma earned a spot, alongside newcomers Zackius Tushabe, Thomas Kasirye, Ashiraf Ddumba, and Judith Namwogerere—proof that fresh talent is also making waves.
Meanwhile, agents Leilah Kabugo, Mitchelle Mugyeni, and Judith Kakuze secured a trip to Mombasa for outstanding performance. They were joined by team manager Sophie Luzinda and promising new agents Edrida Kabahuma, Lillian Kabazaarwe, Joanah Kagoya, and Charles Kadolya.
As the night wound down, agents shared their excitement and optimism for the future. Many expressed renewed commitment to raising the bar in client service and sales excellence.
