On Sunday, June 1st, the celebrated festival breaks away from the lakeside tradition and heads straight into the heart of Kampala at the Hockey Grounds in Lugogo.

Forget the lakeside breeze—this year’s edition brings the action closer to home. The Hockey Grounds, Lugogo, perched just above the Lugogo Cricket Oval and next to the MTN Arena, will host thousands of city revellers in search of rhythm and roast.
Access is simple: enter via the National Council of Sports main gate on Coronation Avenue. Once inside, expect wide-open grounds perfect for lounging, dancing, and enjoying the urban picnic vibe Kampala didn’t know it needed.

In past editions, guests brought their own grills. This time, the pitch’s layout makes that impractical—but Swangz Avenue has you sorted.
