PostBank Donates Easter Supplies to Teresa Ministries for HIV-Affected Children

NAJJANANKUMBI, Uganda — As Christians across Uganda prepare to celebrate Easter, PostBank Uganda has chosen compassion over ceremony, extending a heartfelt donation to Teresa Ministries, a local non-profit supporting vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty.

The donation is part of the bank’s humanitarian outreach under its corporate social responsibility strategy.

Delivered ahead of the Easter holiday, the contribution underscores PostBank’s belief in uplifting communities and empowering the next generation—especially those society often forgets.

“Children are the future of every society,” said Priscilla Akora, PostBank’s Head of Marketing and Communications. “We thank Teresa Ministries for their tireless work in caring for these children. Their commitment reflects the faith and love of God in action.”

Teresa Ministries, based in Najjanankumbi, offers shelter, food, education, and spiritual care to children abandoned or orphaned—many due to HIV/AIDS. The home is a sanctuary for dozens of little ones with nowhere else to turn.

PostBank’s donation included baby formula, diapers, milk, sugar, porridge, rice, and soap—basic yet essential items that help sustain the children’s daily lives.

“This support means the world to us,” said Father Raymond, Patron and founder of Teresa Ministries. “It reminds us that we are not alone in our mission. These supplies will go a long way in feeding and caring for the children in our home.”

The gesture was more than charity; it was a reflection of Easter’s core message—hope, renewal, and unity. PostBank framed the donation as a way of honoring the season’s spirit while staying true to its motto of “Fostering Prosperity for Ugandans.”

Akora emphasized that this initiative is just one of many, and PostBank remains committed to supporting the communities it serves across Uganda.

“We are proud to walk alongside organizations like Teresa Ministries whose values align with ours. Together, we’re making Uganda a better place—one life at a time.”

She concluded by wishing all Ugandan Christians a meaningful end to the Lenten season and a joyful Easter.

As corporate entities increasingly step into roles traditionally held by charities and churches, PostBank’s approach is clear: prosperity isn’t just about money—it’s about building lives, spreading hope, and supporting the vulnerable where it matters most.
