Nabwire Rose Elected MUBS Guild President in Historic Victory

NAKAWA, Uganda — Nabwire Rose has been elected as the new Guild President of Makerere University Business School (MUBS), securing a decisive victory over her competitors.

According to official results announced on the MUBS Twitter account, Nabwire dominated the race with 2,255 votes. Her closest rival, Lukwago, managed 1,242 votes, while Taban and Mayeku received 827 and 89 votes, respectively.

A Resounding Victory

Nabwire’s landslide win was reflected in strong support across multiple faculties. The Faculty of Business Administration (FOBA) delivered the highest number of votes, with 636 backing her candidacy.

The Faculty of Computing (FOC) followed with 450 votes, while the Faculty of Procurement and Logistics Management (FPLM) contributed 222 votes.

Her campaign, focused on inclusivity, innovation, and student welfare, struck a chord with students, leading to widespread support across the institution.
