In a move set to redefine TV subscription flexibility, MultiChoice Uganda has announced the rollout of a new seven-day subscription plan for DStv and GOtv customers, dubbed the ka Weekie campaign.
The new offer, unveiled this week, is designed to offer budget-friendly, short-term access to entertainment, targeting customers who earn weekly or prefer not to commit to a full monthly subscription.
“This initiative reflects our deep understanding of how our customers live and earn. It’s about giving them more control over when and how they watch,” said Collin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda.
According to MultiChoice officials, the ka Weekie packages will give viewers access to the same wide range of content available on full monthly packages, including sports, movies, kids’ shows, series, and news.
This means customers can still enjoy premium entertainment—just in smaller, more flexible doses.

The ka Weekie campaign directly responds to feedback from viewers across Uganda, many of whom face income and schedule limitations that make full monthly plans impractical.
“It’s not just about price. This is for school holidays, village trips, or customers with unpredictable income patterns,” Asiimwe added. “We’re creating options for everyday realities.”

Subscribing to the new 7-day DStv or GOtv package is quick and easy. Customers can pay using mobile money (MTN or Airtel), banking apps, or through USSD codes linked to their MultiChoice accounts.
