KAMPALA, Uganda – It was more than a night of golf and music. It was a celebration of ambition, legacy, and the dreams that connect communities.
Held under the theme “Timeless Tees”, the sixth edition of MARU Credit Club Nite brought the Uganda Golf Club to life on April 16, blending the elegance of the game with the soulful rhythms of Afrigo Band.
The event attracted business leaders, golfers, creatives, and clients — each drawn by a shared spirit of progress and purpose.
Launched just six months ago, MARU Credit’s Club Nite has already cemented itself as one of Kampala’s most vibrant after-hours traditions. And with each edition, it does more than entertain — it empowers.
“When we created this platform, we envisioned something lasting — where ambition meets opportunity,” said Joshua Mazune, MARU Credit’s Managing Director. “We offer financial solutions, yes. But beyond that, we create spaces where people are inspired to grow.”
Music, Legacy, and Meaningful Moments
The Timeless Tees theme served as a tribute to resilience — the kind required both on the golf course and in everyday life.
As Afrigo Band’s timeless melodies floated through the night air, they sparked feelings of nostalgia and pride in Uganda’s rich musical and cultural heritage.
Mazune drew parallels between the game of golf and the MARU Credit journey: “Both require discipline, vision, and patience. Both reward consistency. And both, when done right, leave a legacy.”
Winners, Applause, and Shared Success
Golfing excellence was on full display as Bertram Mpora and Judith Komugisha claimed top honors in the men’s and ladies’ categories.
Mark Rubatsimbira took the guest winner award, while Andrew Opio, Jerry Owachi, Wendy Angudeyo, and Hasifa Karungi dominated their respective groupings.
But the evening’s biggest win was the sense of togetherness — of business, sport, and culture coming full circle.
“Whether we’re financing a vehicle, a business idea, or a dream,” Mazune added, “our goal remains the same — to make progress possible.”
With branches in Bugolobi and Ntinda, MARU Credit continues to lead not just as a financial institution, but as a catalyst for meaningful connection and community growth.
And just like a perfect tee shot or a timeless song, the memories from this Club Nite are set to echo far beyond the 18th hole.
