KAMPALA, Uganda – Seth Murari, the National Sports and Games Coordinator in the Office of the National Chairman of the NRM, has broken his silence following the tragic death of his daughter, Martha Ahumuza Murari.
Martha passed away under mysterious circumstances at Mezo Noir nightclub on March 20th, with police suspecting poisoning as the cause of death.
In a heartfelt tweet, Murari appealed for privacy and urged the public to refrain from speculation.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the loss of our beloved daughter, Ahumuza Martha. We ask the public to stop speculating and circulating wrong information on social media as we put her to rest and let the security organs do their job,” he wrote.

Funeral Arrangements
The family has released a detailed funeral program for Martha:
- Vigil: Held on Friday, March 21st, at Kembabazi.
- Funeral Service: Took place today, Saturday, March 22nd, at All Saints Church in Kampala at 10:00 a.m.
- Evening Church Service: Was held in Nyarubanga, Mbarara, this Saturday evening.
- Burial: Martha will be laid to rest on Sunday, March 23rd, in her hometown of Nyarubanga.
Police Investigation
Kira Road Police Station has detained two suspects in connection with Martha’s death:
- Mugabo Edward, a cashier at Mezo Noir nightclub.
- Kalenzi Joseph, Edward’s brother.
Police are awaiting forensic analysis results to confirm the cause of death, with poisoning being the primary suspicion.

Mezo Noir Remains Closed
Following the incident, Mezo Noir nightclub has temporarily closed its doors. The management has yet to announce a reopening date, as the investigation continues.
