Makerere University’s Guild President, H.E. Ssentamu Churchill James, has officially announced the full cabinet for the 91st guild government. The appointed ministers were sworn in on April 1, 2025, by the Dean of Students, Dr. Winifred Kabumbuli.
Key Appointments in the 91st Guild Government
Among the newly appointed leaders is Kadondi Gracious, who will serve as Vice President. Nsobya Hannington has been named Prime Minister, while Akankunda Rhinah will handle communications as Minister for Information.
Julius Kiganda steps in as the Academic Minister, and Nkurunziza Precious takes on the role of Deputy Prime Minister.

A Competitive Election
Ssentamu secured the guild presidency in the March 2025 elections, defeating National Unity Platform’s Ismail Basalirwa and the NRM’s John Baptist Rukundo.
