In Uganda’s fast-growing tech ecosystem, Ivy Maingi is a name to watch. As the General Manager of Glovo Uganda, she’s not just driving the company’s expansion—she’s redefining leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

With a passion for diversity, innovation, and social impact, Ivy is making waves in Uganda’s on-demand delivery sector.

Breaking Barriers in Tech

Since stepping into her role in April 2024, Ivy has been a force for change. With a strong background in marketing, management, and technology, she’s championing diversity and inclusion as core pillars of her leadership.

“I’m committed to empowering women and underrepresented groups in tech,” she says. “At Glovo, we’re creating opportunities where women aren’t just participants but key decision-makers shaping the future of e-commerce and technology in Uganda.”

Under her leadership, Glovo Uganda has expanded its reach to Mukono, bringing digital convenience to even more communities. But for Ivy, it’s about more than just business growth—it’s about building a more inclusive tech ecosystem.

A Leader with a Social Mission

Ivy’s impact extends beyond the boardroom. Through Glovo Access, she’s spearheaded initiatives to tackle food insecurity, delivering over 500,000 social meals to vulnerable populations since March 2024.

This commitment to social impact reflects her belief that technology should serve as a tool for positive change.

“We’re not just delivering meals; we’re delivering hope and support to those who need it most,” she says.

A Trailblazer in Every Sense

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Kenya’s Daystar University, Ivy brings a unique blend of strategic expertise and a people-centered approach to her role.

Her leadership style is a testament to Glovo’s mission of combining technological advancement with diversity-driven innovation.

Why Ivy’s Work Matters

Ivy Maingi is more than a corporate leader—she’s a role model for aspiring women in tech.

By breaking barriers, advocating for inclusion, and driving social impact, she’s proving that diversity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a business imperative.

As Glovo Uganda continues to grow under her leadership, Ivy is setting a new standard for what it means to lead with purpose in the tech world.
