Hima Cement has kicked off its 2025 Internship Program, welcoming applications from university students pursuing degrees in engineering and science fields. The program offers an immersive three-month industry experience from June to August 2025.
This annual initiative reflects Hima Cement’s deep commitment to nurturing Uganda’s future workforce. It gives students an opportunity to translate classroom knowledge into hands-on skills within one of the country’s top manufacturing environments.
Internship Opportunities by Discipline
Hima Cement’s 2025 internship program targets students in the following fields:
- Mechanical Engineering – Application Code: MIX 03
- Electrical Engineering – Application Code: EIX 03
- Automation and Instrumentation – Application Code: AIIX 02
- Industrial Chemistry – Application Code: ICIX 01
- Mechatronics – Application Code: MEIX 01
Students selected will work directly with Hima Cement’s expert teams in production, maintenance, and process optimization. The experience is designed to build critical technical competencies, expose interns to advanced manufacturing technologies, and guide them on real-world career paths.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in a recognized university and actively pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline. The application must include:
- A formal internship application letter
- An introduction letter from their university
- A copy of their valid university student ID
