Popular Ugandan singer Fik Gaza is once again in the spotlight—this time not for his music, but for a string of disturbing allegations involving assault and theft.
A man identified as Julius appeared on Sanyuka TV, claiming the singer and his entourage violently attacked him in Makindye. According to Julius, the group accused him of being a thief before physically assaulting him and making off with his belongings.
“I was beaten and robbed,” Julius recounted. “They took my bag with UGX 10 million and two phones.”
The dramatic encounter reportedly ended when boda boda riders intervened, hurling stones to disperse the group. Julius said their actions saved him from further harm, but the damage had already been done.
Julius filed a complaint with police immediately after the incident. A week later, law enforcement raided Fik Gaza’s residence and apprehended the artist.
Fellow musician Alien Skin allegedly tried to negotiate on Fik Gaza’s behalf, pleading with Julius to drop the matter. However, police proceeded with the arrest.
Although initially detained and later released, Fik Gaza failed to comply with police summons. His absence led to a second operation last week that saw the “Banana” hitmaker arrested once again.
After four days in custody, Fik Gaza appeared in court on Tuesday and was granted bail of UGX 1 million. But just as he stepped out of court, another team of security operatives rearrested him.
This time, he faces more serious allegations—aggravated robbery in the Wakiso area. Authorities have since transferred him to Wakiso Police Station, where he remains in detention.
He is expected to appear in court soon to answer to the new charges.
This unfolding saga has stirred heated debate across social media, with fans split between defending their idol and demanding accountability.
As the legal process unfolds, one thing is clear—Fik Gaza’s troubles are far from over. His once-rising star may now be eclipsed by a growing list of criminal accusations that could derail his career.
