Alien Skin Hospitalized After Violent Mob Attack in Iganga

Alien Skin

Dancehall artiste Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, was hospitalized over the weekend after a mob attack in Iganga left him with serious head injuries.

The controversial Fangone Forest boss was in the eastern district to perform at the Women’s Day celebrations held at Iganga Municipal Primary School.

However, the event took a violent turn when a group of angry residents allegedly attacked him, pelting objects at his vehicle and forcing him to flee. One object reportedly struck his head, leaving a deep gash on his forehead.

Viral videos circulating on social media show Alien Skin being chased by a crowd while his security team struggled to shield him. The artist was visibly shaken as fans blocked him from accessing the venue.

Though Alien Skin has not officially addressed the incident, sources suggest that the backlash stemmed from political tensions. The singer has previously thrown jabs at National Unity Platform (NUP) president Bobi Wine—remarks that may have inflamed local supporters of the opposition leader.

Adding to the friction is Alien Skin’s shifting political stance. Initially perceived as sympathetic to the ruling party, he later appeared aligned with Mathias Mpuuga’s Democratic Alliance. These moves have left fans confused—and some, it seems, angry.

But politics may not be the only reason for the hostility.

The singer has long carried a reputation for controversy. Known for moving with a gang-like entourage, Alien Skin has been accused of violent behavior, including alleged beatings and theft.

These claims, though unproven, have followed him from one district to another, painting him as a troublemaker rather than a performer.

In Iganga, residents made it clear: he wasn’t welcome.

Eyewitnesses say the mob began assembling shortly after his arrival. Attempts to calm the crowd failed, and his team had no choice but to retreat. His vehicle was left damaged in the melee.

While some fans online expressed sympathy for the artist, others called it a wake-up call. “You can’t provoke people and expect them to cheer you,” one commenter posted.

As Alien Skin recovers from his injuries, questions remain about his next move—both in music and politics. One thing is clear: the road ahead may be rockier than ever.
